Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union has announced a new credit card partnership with the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) to provide financial support for projects in developing countries worldwide. At no additional cost to the member, a portion of the proceeds generated from every signature-based transaction over $5 provides financial support to the World Council of Credit Unions Foundation.

The World Council of Credit Unions is the leading trade association for global financial cooperatives and development programs that focus on improving communities in need. WOCCU uses its platform to support financial markets in growing economies by creating financial inclusion, strengthening financial institutions, providing legislation, regulatory support, and more. With an extensive network that reaches 117 countries and assists 260 million households worldwide, the World Council of Credit Unions is committed to developing and providing innovative tools, technology, and programs to serve communities worldwide. 

Cy-Fair FCU’s partnership with the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) began in 2015 by providing financial support for a project to help start not-for-profit financial cooperatives (credit unions) in Cuba. Our partnership developed with the inspiration of the common goal of bringing better awareness and having an impactful influence on the work of credit unions who aspire to provide low-cost financial inclusions for all.
